Why Do We Need Sponsors?
ARGFest-o-Con has grown from its humble beginnings as a mere social gathering with faint aspirations into a day-long Conference stewing in its own juices from the enveloping Weekend o’ Fun, and so have grown the costs associated with the event. While most (if not all) labor and organization is provided gratis by the volunteers of the Directing Committee, certain expenses cannot be circumvented, such as providing a venue, equipment, labor, and amenities for the event itself.
We also strive to keep the registration fees low for attendees in order to allow the Conference to be more accessible to the Player and Indie developer community which birthed it. ARGFest-o-Con is the only event of its kind dedicated to Alternate Reality Gaming. By helping to sponsor it, you are actively contributing to the ongoing development of the genre and the education of its adherents, practitioners, and future audience.

Order of the Trout
So you don’t have deep pockets but you still want to help out? Whether or not you’re attending ARGFest-o-Con 2008, you can join the Order of the Trout by donating $10 to the ARGFest Treasure Chest.
